The Venue Guide
"It's deep lowcountry-style porches, exposed wooden beams, massive fireplaces, fire pits and a beautiful waterfront gazebo help to create a unique backdrop for a truly Southern Affair!"
If you love horses, barns, and Southern charm, this is the perfect venue for you! Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Pepper Plantation is tucked away in the woods off of Highway 17. With everything you need right here, you can spend the day of your wedding stress free and relaxed.
Also, who wouldn't want horses in their wedding photos? It looks like you've stepped straight out of a fairytale!
THE PERFECT VENUE
It's the day of your wedding and you walk outside hand in hand with your husband to see horses grazing in the pasture...
I love this because you can't find it at a lot of other venues in Charleston, only a few have horses! I love including animals or unique features of the venue in your wedding day pictures. There's a reason you picked the venue you did so I want to highlight that for you to remember for the rest of your life together.
If you have your wedding at Pepper Plantation, you have the option to rent out the bridal cottage for another small fee. It is in a great location, literally walking distance from the venue! Your full wedding party can keep their belongings here for the wedding day and come in to rest between pictures.
There is a bridal suite called the "bridal cottage" that you can rent out for your wedding day, but that will only hold the girls. So I recommend finding an airbnb or renting out a few hotel rooms nearby for you both to get ready separately!
There are a few spots that I would recommend for the first look! The dock is beautiful and will create stunning first look photos. There's a huge oak tree nearby that you could stand under for the first look. Or you can go to the back of the venue where there's an open field with greenery surrounding you!
This all depends on if you are having a first look or not! If you have a first look, we are able to get lots of photos done beforehand, so you can have a later ceremony. But if you don't have a first look you definitely want to have plenty of time to take photos after the ceremony! So I always say if you have a first look, two hours before sunset. And no first look, 3 hours before sunset.
Yes you are able to do a sparkler exit here, but I do recommend that if you do that to have a planner or someone guiding your guests! It can get messy fast and you want a leader to tell your guests where to stand and help them light their sparklers.
Fill out your name and email address and I will send you my personal engagement session style guide to help you find the perfect outfits to wear!
