The Venue Guide
"As you explore the various venue options at Boone Hall, you will discover that there are a variety of spectacular locations on the plantation where the world can stand still and make a lasting impression for your special day"
You may know this venue for several reasons. One of the main being parts of The Notebook were filmed here. The huge manor you see as you drive up the main road? Yep, you will see that exact house when you watch The Notebook! So this venue has literally been used to help tell one of the greatest love stories of our generations (I know, it's just a move, but still!)
Boone Hall Plantation has huge fields with horses grazing, tall oak trees with Spanish moss, and lots of different options for your ceremony and reception. It's such a magical place and I love documenting special days here!
THE PERFECT VENUE
It's the day of your wedding and you're driving down the avenue of oaks about to make your way down the aisle to your fiance...
AKA where Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married. Yeah, no joke! This stunning location has access to the water and overlooks the beautiful marshes. It's no wonder they got married here...it's stunning!
This is exactly what it sounds like. The main road is lined with massive oak trees spilling with Spanish moss. And it makes for the perfect photos! There's enough room for full bridal party photos here or bride and groom portraits.
There isn't an official bridal suite at the venue, so I would definitely recommend renting a hotel room or an airbnb. There are lots of amazing hotels and airbnbs in Mount Pleasant. Isle of Palms is right there, so you could rent a little beach house for the week and get ready there the morning of your wedding!
My favorite spot is right in the center of the venue: The Avenue of Oaks. There's plenty of space for the whole family and it's not a far walk! So while your guests are enjoying cocktail hour or getting ready to show up for the ceremony, we can snag everyone for some quick family photos!
This all depends on if you are having a first look or not! If you have a first look, we are able to get lots of photos done beforehand, so you can have a later ceremony. But if you don't have a first look you definitely want to have plenty of time to take photos after the ceremony! So I always say if you have a first look, two hours before sunset. And no first look, 3 hours before sunset.
There are lots of options for exits here at Boone Hall Plantation! Since there's so much room, you can literally do anything! There is the opportunity to do a sparkler exit, but there's lots of other options too!
