If you've been planning your fairytale wedding your entire life and have dreamed of the perfect place that looks like it's straight out of a Disney movie, Middleton Place is the perfect venue for you. You will feel like a princess as you stroll through the gardens with your husband and take pictures with the sheep and horses grazing along.

Middleton Place is one of the most sought after wedding venues in Charleston, South Carolina. And you can see why: it's absolutely breathtaking!

THE PERFECT VENUE

It's the day of your wedding and you're walking through the fields of middleton place while sheep graze alongside of you and your now husband...

The Big Oaks

Choose to get married outside under the oaks and your wedding will look like a dream. Since Middleton Place is so big, you can literally pick anywhere to have your ceremony and cocktail hour. Which makes it that much more fun to plan! A lot of couples choose the oaks because they are so magical and literally glowing when the sun hits them just right.

The Animals

You can choose to have sheep grazing during your wedding or have a horse carriage come pick you up for photo opportunities! This really makes your day so special and it is like you are living in your own fairytale!

Should we both get ready at Middleton Place?

FAQ

At Middleton Place, there is a small room for the bridal party to keep their belongings while the wedding is happening, but I don't recommend getting ready there. A great option on where to get ready is the Inn at Middleton Place right next door! It's just a short two minute drive down the main road and you can rent out a hotel room to stay the night and get ready in!

A FEW OF the MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SHOOTING WEDDINGS AT Middleton Place

Where do you recommend taking our family portraits?

Middleton Place has so many amazing places for family photos (and bride and groom photos). Which is great! The big oaks are such a beautiful spot or you can take family photos with the water in the background. There are also lots of gardens within the property so we definitely won't have a problem finding the perfect place for photo opportunities!

What time should we schedule our ceremony to begin?

This all depends on if you are having a first look or not! If you have a first look, we are able to get lots of photos done beforehand, so you can have a later ceremony. But if you don't have a first look you definitely want to have plenty of time to take photos after the ceremony! So I always say if you have a first look, two hours before sunset. And no first look, 3 hours before sunset.

Is there parking for guests? And will they have to pay?

Middleton Place has a lot for all of your guests to park for your big day. And the best part - it's free! As long as they let the employees know if asked that they are heading to your wedding, they should be allowed to pass right on through.
